💜 Day 26: Non Toxic Bug Spray 💜

Seasons will change before we know it and those pesky flies and mosquitoes will be buzzing around again. I always HATED spraying DEET or OFF on myself and my girls when we were outside, but also didnt want to get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Even more concern, tic's which is becoming more of a concern every year it seems like.

So what did I do? I sprayed us down and then gave everyone showers as soon as we went in, but we all know that isn't a great idea because it still had plenty of time to sit on our skin and get into the blood stream. 😭
🤷‍♀️I tried ALL kinds of natural bug sprays, always disappointed and would go back begrudgingly to the big guns.
Come dangers of DEET are it can cause allergic reactions, skin rashes, hives. It can also cause seizures and brain damage to children that it has been applied directly to the skin. WHAT?? 👧🧒👩👨 So what can we do? We cant just not use anything right? And I want my kids to be protected, as well as myself. I am SO thankful dōTERRA has released Terra Shield. This is our family GO TO when we are outside and need protected. The amazing thing is, it works AND I don't have to freak out if it gets on their skin OR be concerned about washing it off ASAP.
